dinnerware sets pfaltzgraff image

Corelle offers a 3 year warenty against any chips or cracks. However, Pfaltzgraff is known for their good qualiy. I really like ceramic plates and would prefer the pfaltzgraff, but I want them to last and stay in good condition. My current set is a no name ceramic and several have broken and chiped over the years. Would anyone be able to share information on the two products I mentioned?

I have and use both these brands of dishes. I've had good experiences with both. I love the Corelle for every day use, it's light weight, microwaveable, easy to clean. I've never had one chip; however, if you drop it on the floor and it breaks, it goes into a MILLION pieces. It totally shatters and all the pieces are VERY sharp. But if you aren't clumsy like me, it lasts forever. I have 2 Corelle plates my mom gave me that I grew up with in the 70s. They are still in great shape, not chipped, cracked, or faded.
I also love my Pfaltzgraff dinnerware. It's strong, durable, long-lasting. It's a bit heavy sometimes for me with my bad wrists.
I do have some chipped pieces but they're still usable. I like the fact that my table looks so beautiful when it's set with the Pfaltzgraff, it dresses it up for company or special occasions. Plus you can get so many matching pieces to go with the dinnerware. Candlesticks, all kinds of bowls, towels, etc. You name it! It is a little pricey though. And sometimes the patterns go out of production rather quickly, I think.
