How do I properly care for lace and linen napkins?

Q. My mother-in-law brought me a beautiful set of 12 embroidered linen and lace dinner napkins from Europe and I haven't a clue how to properly care for them. They look relatively delicate and they are very white - I'm afraid to actually use them as dinner napkins. They will be filthy after each use. Do I take them to the dry cleaners or hand wash them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated...I do not want to ruin this beautiful gift because I cared for them improperly.

Answer
I would use them only at very formal dinner parties. Store them in non-acid tissue paper. Soak after use in a soulution of Oxiclean, Hand rinse as many times as it takes, If you are able, lay them flat outside and let them sun dry. (Always have Paper ones handy)

Anyone have ideas on how to set a spooky dinner table for 12 guest?

I'm throwing a Halloween Dinner party for 12 people. I want to decorate the table all fancy and spooky. I have skull candles to put in the middle. But I'm not very creative...I was thinking of maybe doing like a deep red table cloth and black dinner plates and utensils. Any idea how I can make the table creative spooky and fun but not spend a lot? Thanks!
