Replacements.com lists 11 different Royal Crown China companies. Royal Crown Japan has a pattern called Maria, which is a Chintz style pattern. At this time they don't carry any pieces from this pattern, but you can find a picture of a dinner plate there. (Sorry, but I don't open links on Y!A.)

Have discovered my set of china bears the label: Made in Occupied Japan...what's the market for these items?

It's a really beautiful set of dinnerware for 12; I am wondering about the historical significance and the reason for its marking.
Answer
Your china could have significant value in the US depending on several things. Most importantly is the condition of the china then the original quality of the set. If itâs a complete set or nearly complete that would be a big plus too.
For seven years after the end of the Second World War the US occupied Japan. Exports from Japan to the US were encouraged but were labeled as from âoccupied Japanâ. China from that era is collectable because of that fact but quality and condition is very important.
