I'm looking for dinnerware for daily use, that holds up but still looks nice. What brands would you recommend or what brands to stay away from?

I use Corelle (I think that's how you spell it). My set came with 8 dinner plates, 8 dessert plates, 8 bowls and 8 mugs.
There's something special about it... I've dropped dishes hundreds of times and NEVER broken one! They are microwave and dishwasher safe. They come in lots of pretty styles and patterns.
