ok so i recently got my tv back from my parents that they had hooked up in there room. it was setup with cable (we have dish network, and the cable box is a vip 211k cable box). so when i brought it in my room and set it up a screen pops up saying acquring signal with a satellite number, transponder number (that keeps changing every minute or so), and a progress box.
on the progress box it says 0 out of 5 and has stayed like that for about half an hour
how do i make it finish the progress so i can watch tv
pllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help i will give points to whoever helps and figures out the problem. :)

Hi Kyle, I will be happy to help you with your signal issue. The first thing I need you to check is the cable coming from the wall into the receiver. It needs to be in the "Sat IN" port on the back. When it is connected properly the signal should acquire right away. If you are still having an issue, please e-mail me and we can do some added trouble shooting. Thanks!
