sandy c
can they be used in the microwave?
Answer
Hi Sandy,
Yes, they are microwave safe. This is what I read.
Versatile, convenient and durable, this 16-piece set of chip-resistant melacore dishes in a vibrant rainbow of colors makes dining fun. Convenient indoors and great for outdoor barbeques and picnics, this dinnerware set for four is perfect any time a casual meal is in order. Use matched sets or mix things up. California Dreamin' dinnerware comes in red, orange, yellow, green and blue. Adult approved and kid friendly
Being a former college partier myself, i would suggest sending her with dollar store ceramic plates. They were cheap, and I used my plates for a variety of reasons, not just to eat on. I also tended to take better care of them since they were breakable. Just a thought.....=)

What store sells good dinnerware?

GIVE ME MY
Okay, me and my girlfriend are heading to pueblo, colorado. To do some shopping, we have stuff that we want to get, but i come from a poor family. I never been to these fancy expensive stores...
So i want to know what store sells good cobalt blue glasses, plates bowls as a new set of dishes for my moms birthday!
Thanks
Answer
Pier 1 Imports, look in out of the way Antique stores, and also Marshalls and at all costs avoid the specialty kitchen shops. Unless they are having 1/2 or more sales. If you want new you need to shop for new. If she is a collector she might like some vintage pieces. Good luck and remember in antique and thrift stores prices are definitely negotiable.
