Cooking casserole, what dish to use?

dimenti0

I was thinking to be efficient with time and cleanign up, I want a casserole dish that can be used on the stove as well as the oven (so obviously glass ones are out of the question) Do you have any suggestions on brand names, material etc?) Thank you!
I wonder if I could find one at Walmart or Shoprite...
OMG! This Dutch oven is SO expensive. It says around $300 or something...I could buy an oven for that price....

Answer
You can use glass. Corningware is heatproof, and a LOT cheaper.

***** added info *****

Walmart wants to sell you sets, and not individual dishes with lids.

Where can I get cheap tea cups?

Lola

I am having my baby shower next month and its Tea party themed. We have about everything except the tea cups which I have come to find to be ridiculously expensive and though having very beautiful China in my house would be nice I won't really use it. I don't care where they come from I just need at the most 18 plastic nice looking tea cups and perhaps saucers too that the ladies can take home after. I don't want them to scream obviously plastic so something nice. Please and thank you :)

Answer
I'd try a local thrift store; the St. Vinny's I usually go to has just a TON of china and dishes, many in matching sets. Either that or the dollar store, maybe Walmart.

I want a boa constrictor, and there is a big reptile expo this month near where I live and I want to get one then since it'll be cheaper there, but what all do I need for its setup and how much will it cost?

Answer
For a juvenile you can put a whole set up for under $100 including the thermostat
$5-$10 plastic tub. 28 qt Sterlite (model 1655) or 34 qt Hefty, both can be found at Target.Or you can go with the Hefty 66 qt same floor space as the 34 qt but taller. Van Ness jumbo dog dish (walmart about $1) works as water dish and hide. My balls and boas both love them. Second hide can be any little plastic bowl, like a cool whip or butter bowl with a hole cut in it. The biggest expense will be the heat and thermostat. You can get an Ultratherm heat pad (go with the 6x11) and a Hydro farm digital thermostat together for $46 at Amazon.com. Then aspen for bedding, you can get larger bags ( compressed 4 cu ft) for about $10-$15, for one snake in those size tubs will last a long time. You can also use plain old news paper.
There are a few changes and of course more expense for adults and sub-adults. They will require a full size cage, 4x2 ft floor space minimum .Commercial cages start around $250, with out any options. I have done basic but full setup with home made cage for under $150. They need a larger heating area. Heat tape is the cheapest. I use 11" x 2 ft heat tape. I use tubs as the ones above or cat litter pans for water.

how to get out grease or oil stains on clothes after being washed?

Annabella

I slipped in some oil or grease that was in our parking lot early one morning. Then pre-soaked and washed the outfit I was wearing. It still has dark stains on them. I was wearing a light blue. I am about ready to pitch it,but it was new. So is there anything I can use once the stain has been set? Thanks for any advice.

Answer
You can try a product called Greased Lightening. It's available at Walmart and Dollar General stores. It takes out just about anything from clothing, even grease spots that have been set in by drying them. For set in grease spots I pretreat the stain with both greased lightening and a little dish soap. Let it sit awhile before washing.
------------------------------------------------------------
You can also try Dawn dishwashing liquid. Rub it in and leave rolled up overnight and wash normal the next day.
------------------------------------------------------------
Try using cheap shampoo, just apply directly to grease spot, rub in and wash. Works every time new or old set stain

What things for our home should we bring to Saudi Arabia from the US?

Q. We've already figured out that many things are nicer and better priced in SA, such as furniture and home decorations... we may still end up bringing a container from the US, so what things am I better off getting in the US? So far, I've thought of good set of pots, knives, a washer and a dryer. What else am I better off getting in the US?

Answer
Well you can get a good washer and dry here, the same ones that you get in the states, go to Extra or Electro maybe even Saco. You are much better off buying undergarments from the US because there are very few good stores for those here, the good stores for them are over priced and only men work there and are always very ready to ask for your bra size LOL. Also while you can get very nice clothes here and some of them can be extremely cheap if you know when the sales are some of the brand names will be cheaper in the US. Bring a stove from there because the ovens on the stoves here are mostly gas and its harder to get the temperature set exactly where it should be. Also bring baking pans from there because most of the ones over here are weird sizes and a lot of them don't even say how big they are. Get your bed set(blankets sheets and pillows) from there too because I noticed that the exact same cannon sets that are sold at Walmart for $20-50 are sold here for 2000SR and the ones nicer are even more expensive and the cheaper ones aren't nice at all. Also if you want a dish washer get it from there because there will not be one in your house and there are not many on the market here either.

I forgot Books!!! because there are no book stores here except Jareer which doesn't have alot. I would suggest bringing your skin care products from there too the stuff here has a lot of harsh chemicals and just isn't as good.

Medicens.... Tylenol, Tums, Advil, Aleve, Pamprin, Midol, Pepto Bismal, Comtrax ect are not in the pharmacies here and the stuff that they have here doesn't work nearly as well.
