I did have a Scrabble Travel set but no one wanted to play it with me.
I even bought a Scrabble CD and played it "with" the computer. Alas!! The computer "player" would mostly win....cheater!! hahaha.......lol.
So, when Yahoo had the Literati game, I played it occasionally with my online friends from around the world. Great.

I don't think you can go really wrong with any of those choices.
The Philippines is my favorite country of those listed to live in, but honestly most of the fashionable Makati ladies will go to Singapore, Hong Kong, KL, or Bangkok to shop. So after looking at your profile:

For fashion and shopping, Singapore would probably be the best pick for designer brands. The City/State is also exceptionally clean for an Asian city.
Bangkok has quite a few malls and you can find your basic designers . I recommend brunch at the Oriental as I have never been able justify the price of a room there.
I joined the boycott on Indonesia due to their Civil Rights violations.
Now Malaysia and Singapore are really almost the same location. I prefer Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, which is also a very unique city but just not my favorite.
Just for fun I will put your itinerary together right here.
First- Fly into Singapore on whatever airline is cheapest. If you are in Oz, check out Jet Blue Asia. They are a budget carrier but not bad at all. You could save about half the airfare of flying on Qantas, but I do understand loyalty to an airline. Qantas is number 2 on my airline list.
Spend one day and one night in Singapore for some shopping and a nice dinner. Singapore is an amazing success story for the region. It is a great jumping off period for SE Asia because the city doesn't run on chaos, much like other cities in this region. It is easy to get around, and you can find any type of restaurant or shopping that your are looking for.
Next, I think Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia is a place that doesn't have much shopping, but is really unique and up and coming with the travel crowd. If you look at Air Asia you can get some incredible deals on flights out of Singapore, Manila, or KL. You take what you save on flights and stay at some very nice resorts.
I recommend Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort in Kota Kinabalu.. There are two Shangr-La's, this is the one on the beach. The other is very nice too, but set in a Rain Forest. I think they have the Orangutans on property at one of the resorts. If not, you want to take a trek anyway up Mt. Kinabalu, which is right through a Virgin Rain Forest. It is very much like taking a step backwards in time and it wouldn't surprise you to see a dinosaur come out of the bush.
Kota Kinabalu is in the very North of Malaysia in the Sabah region. The area has beautiful unspoiled beaches, Orangutans, other unique wildlife, and a culture that is "truly Asia". Depending on how much time you have you can see a lot in this region.
Without knowing more about your priorities that is the best I can do right now. Keep in mind that we are in the start of the rainy season right now. It might not rain every day, but if the typhoons start coming through it will be endless rain for weeks at a time.
I will just add to this novella, that if money were no factor, I would just fly into Singapore and take the infamous Orient Express all the way to Bangkok. ( historic rail train- Also see Murder on the Orient Express, under Classic Movies.)
